This is an updated version of the ongoing Velocity Points earn guide.
The short version: there are still plenty of easy ways to earn Velocity Points without doing a dedicated points run. The best low-effort options are still account-linking bonuses, groceries via Flybuys, 7-Eleven, DoorDash, me&u, e-Rewards surveys, Envirobank recycling, cinema bookings, cards, hotel bookings and car hire.
Always check the partner page before making a decision. Velocity rates, exclusions and promos move around.

Quick tips for maximizing Velocity Points
- Link accounts before you spend. DoorDash, me&u, DiDi, 7-Eleven and Flybuys all need linking or scanning rules.
- Keep the e-Store habit. A single missed click-through can cost thousands of points on a large purchase.
- Check exclusions. Gift cards, taxes, delivery tips, payment fees, tobacco, vouchers and third-party fees are often excluded.
- Do not overpay for points. Bonus points are only useful if the underlying price is still competitive.
- Watch offer end dates. AGL and the current DoorDash special offer both list 30 June 2026, while the Event/Village Cinemas launch bonus lists 15 July 2026. Other bonuses may be withdrawn or varied.
- For status, remember the 50% Virgin Australia flight rule. Non-flight Status Credits can help, but they no longer do all the work.
The best genuinely easy current options are e-Rewards, me&u, DoorDash, 7-Eleven, Envirobank, Flybuys and the Event/Village Cinemas launch offer if you were already going to the movies. The biggest totals usually come from cards, health insurance, energy, hotel packages and holidays, but those only make sense if the product is something you actually need.
