Qantas is marking this month with the launch of a special celebration of Australian culture across its domestic and international network, featuring exclusive Australian treats and enhanced in-flight experiences.

The Sky-High Pavlova Takes Flight

The centerpiece of this celebration is the introduction of the “Sky-High Pavlova” - a specially engineered version of Australia’s beloved dessert designed to withstand altitude changes. This delicate meringue creation, topped with Chantilly cream and fresh Australian fruits including passionfruit, kiwifruit, and strawberries, will be served exclusively on domestic flights.

The pavlova will be available in Domestic Business Class and as a “Select-on-Q” refreshment option in Economy on April 25th, offering passengers a taste of this quintessentially Australian dessert while travelling on this significant national day.

Premium Coffee Service with Barista-Crafted Flat Whites

Acknowledging Australia’s world-renowned coffee culture, Qantas is elevating its beverage service with expertly trained baristas serving perfectly textured flat whites. This premium coffee service will be available in Business Class and Premium Economy on both domestic and international routes, bringing café-quality coffee to 30,000 feet.

Sweet Treats and Musical Tributes

All domestic passengers will receive complimentary “Golden Pineapple Lumps” - a modern take on the classic chewy pineapple confection that many Australians remember from their childhoods. These sweet treats come as part of Qantas’s effort to celebrate Australian confectionery heritage.

The in-flight entertainment system will feature a specially curated Crowded House playlist across the entire network, with hits like “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Better Be Home Soon” providing the soundtrack.
