Lord Howe Island flights are back! From Sydney [Oct 4 to Early December] from $1092 Return on Qantas!

In some good news for tourism, Lord Howe Island is opening again for tourism after 6 months!

NSW Health today (Sep 28) repealed a Public Health Order that had restricted travel from the Australian mainland to Lord Howe Island during the Coronavirus pandemic.

So I’ve been doing a search this evening, but didn’t really know Lord Howe Island prices. Turns out pre-covid, even months in advance, paying upwards of $1500 was often the norm!

So I’m pleased to say there are certainly tickets available for far less than that. I’ve indicated the cheapest dates below, in price order, currently available. There are plenty more dates, but all the others I found were over $1500.

Flights are also available from Port Macquarie, but I haven’t had time to do a proper look, but have seen at least some from $1441 return.
