China Southern Airlines is one of China’s largest carriers, based in Guangzhou. About Tokyo
Tokyo is a city you can return to repeatedly without repeating yourself. China Southern has loaded return fares to Tokyo from both Auckland and Christchurch, with a very wide spread of travel dates running from late October 2026 through to late August 2027.
From Auckland the lowest fare is $1181 return, on departures on 11 March and 14 March 2027. There’s a broad band of sub-$1200 dates through March, April and May 2027, while the October to December 2026 departures sit closer to $1400 and the late-January 2027 dates hover around $1373.
From Christchurch the lowest fare is $1272 return departing 11 March 2027, with the whole March 2027 block sitting between $1272 and $1393. The January and February 2027 Christchurch departures are noticeably dearer, running from around $1362 up to $1513.
