About Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines is a premium full-service airline and a Star Alliance member, with strong partners including Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia. It’s the first international airline to sell tickets from Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, with daily flights to Singapore starting 23 November 2026.
The WSI flight is scheduled to leave at 11:55pm and land in Singapore at 5:05am the next morning, with the return leaving Singapore at 11:30am and arriving back in Western Sydney at 10:20pm. As a full-service carrier, you’d expect checked baggage, meals and inflight entertainment to be included, but check the fare conditions when you book.
Connection Information
Every destination here other than Singapore itself connects through Singapore Changi (SIN). Changi is one of the easiest airports in the world to transit, but check the minimum connection time against your itinerary before booking, especially if the layover is short. If your layover is long, Jewel Changi’s indoor waterfall and gardens are a good way to pass the time.
About the Destinations
Singapore: Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, the hawker centres of Chinatown and Little India, and Sentosa Island all sit within a short MRT ride of each other. Visit Visit Singapore for more ideas, and consider a stopover on the way to anywhere else on this list.
Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi: Saigon is French colonial streets, Ben Thanh Market, the War Remnants Museum and day trips to the Cu Chi Tunnels or the Mekong Delta. Hanoi has the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Temple of Literature and the best bun cha you’ll eat, plus Ha Long Bay (a UNESCO World Heritage site) a few hours away. See Vietnam’s official tourism site.
Bangkok and Phuket: Bangkok has the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun across the Chao Phraya, and endless street food in Chinatown. Phuket is the beach option, with Kata, Karon and Patong beaches and day trips to Phang Nga Bay and the Phi Phi Islands. November to April is the drier, cooler season on both. See Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Mumbai and Delhi: Mumbai has the Gateway of India, Marine Drive and the Victorian Gothic Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (UNESCO-listed). Delhi has the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb, and is the jumping-off point for the Taj Mahal in Agra. October to March is the most comfortable time to visit. See Incredible India.
London: The British Museum, Tower of London, West End theatre and the South Bank, with day trips to Oxford, Bath or Brighton easy by train. See Visit London.
